BRAG: Target Trip...Paid $30 And Saved $63!

So I'm pretty proud of myself.  I braved a Target couponing trip with 3 children and it went of without a hitch!!!!!!!!  Here is the breakdown:

Bought:
2 Up & Up bleach...not pictured ($.27 each)
1 box Up & Up diapers ($13.49)
2 Tide travel packets (FREE)
1 box Toddler Mum Rice Snacks ($3.14)
1 box of Lucky Charms ($2.49)
4 bars of Olay soap (FREE)
2 Reach floss (FREE)
2 Up & Up floss (FREE)
2 bottles Up & Up Ibuprofen (FREE)
2 bottles Exedrin (1 FREE and paid full price for 1 by accident)
7 3.5 lb bags of Pedigree dog food ($1.00 each)
11 cans of Good Life cat food (FREE with overage)
3 mini boxes of Nature Valley granola bars (FREE)
1 box of easter candy ($.99)

Final verdict: Paid about $30 out of pocket and saved $63 with coupons(about 66% savings).  This includes tax.

Couple of notes:
  • I paid full price for one of the Excedrin bottles because I had the wrong Target coupon with me.  I plan on returning that one the next time I go to Target.
  • The Good Life cat food was marked down to $.65.  I used $1.00 off coupon for each can, and they gave me that $.35 overage per coupon toward the rest of my purchase.  I think this has to do with me using an insert coupon versus a printable coupon, which seems to always be adjusted down.  I'm not sure if that is how it actually works, but that seems to be my experience.
  • The mini boxes of Nature Valley granola bars were in the dollar spot.
  • I usually would not pay anything close to $2.50 for a box of Lucky Charms, but I am in charge of snacks for St. Patty's day and am making green cupcakes with Lucky Charms on top.  So I had to bite the bullet and do it anyway!
  • For the Olay soap bars, I bought 4 bars from the travel section and used a $1.00 off any Olay bar, lotion, etc. coupon from the latest P&G insert and it went thru just fine without a beep cause it shows no size restrictions.  (Remeber, you can only use 4 of the same/like P&G coupons in one transaction.)

So what do you guys thing?  Convinced yet?
